Homes are built to last — but everyday life, weather, and wear and tear take their toll. For repairs, property maintenance and small jobs across Wellington, the RG Carpentry family has a crew built exactly for that work: Dog and Bird.
RG Carpentry focuses on renovations, extensions and managed building projects — work measured in weeks and months. Small jobs deserve better than being squeezed between big builds, so our sister company Dog and Bird handles the short-form work full time: same people, same standards, same trade network, with a crew that turns up this week and a clear written quote before work starts. Because looking after the little things is what prevents bigger problems down the line.
What Dog and Bird takes care of
- Home and property repairs — doors, windows, weatherboards, decks, walls and leaks
- Scheduled property maintenance — inspections, gutter cleaning, pressure washing and safety checks
- Painting and decorating — interior and exterior, with proper preparation
- Small renovations — bathroom refreshes, kitchenettes, partitions and flooring
- Plumbing and electrical repairs, coordinated with trusted trades

And if the job turns out bigger than it looks
Sometimes a repair uncovers a bigger story — hidden rot behind a weatherboard, a bathroom that’s due for more than a patch. When that happens, the job moves seamlessly to RG Carpentry: with over two decades of building experience, Tim and the team bring the same attention to detail and pride in workmanship to renovations, extensions and fully managed projects — without you having to start over with a new builder.
